Everyone is invited to The Tonganoxie Community Historical Society 4th Tuesday Meeting:
Topic: Presidential Libraries and Museums – Anita’s presentation will explore the importance of the thirteen presidential libraries and museums in the United States. She will focus much of her presentation on the Truman and Eisenhower Libraries and Museums.
US Presidential Libraries and Museums are impressive structures that act as repositories of valuable presidential records and artifacts. But who started this trend and when? What role do these institutions play in how and what we remember? Why are they important?
About our speaker: Anita Tebbe is an attorney and a retired professor of Legal Studies at Johnson County Community College. She also teaches continuing education classes at JCCC.
The meeting begins at 7 with a brief business meeting followed by the historical program.
